CHAMPIONSHIPS 7-31-19
🌲🏊🏻♂️🌲🏊🏻♀️🌲🏅🥇🏅 LETS GO GREEN! Wednesday July 31 is for “All the Marbles” Warm up at 8:30, Starts at 9:00. The Grove 42 Ethan Allen St. Lakeville CT Swimmers be prepared with goggles, towel, water bottle, snacks and lunch. Parents be prepared to help time, write ribbons or CHEER! Trials at 9:00a, starting with Freestyle. All relays are in the next session. We will look at the forecast and make decisions tomorrow morning. I’ll update the blog then. If the whole day looks sketchy, we’ll postpone the meet until Thursday. If only the afternoon looks rough, we’re going to run the finals in the morning. Go Litchfield 🥇🏊🏻♂️🌲🏊🏻♀️🌲🥇
Weekly Update 7/29 - 8/3
Monday July 29 Regular Pool Hours, normal practice times. Parents of Swim Team, please let me know if your child is NOT swimming in Championships (In Lakeville) on Wednesday. I need to know by noon on Monday if they are NOT. 🏊🏻♂️ Tuesday July 30 Regular Pool Hours, Parents of Swim Team, please have your child at the pool by 11:30 for the team photo (in team suits). 📸 Wednesday July 31 Regular Pool Hours (open all day to members, no practice and no lessons). Parents of Swim Team, please have your swimmers in Lakeville (The Grove) by 8:15a. Trials are in the morning and finals are in the afternoon. I’ll blog another post on Tuesday and Wednesday with details about the Championships, but just know it’s an all day event 8:15-3:30. 🏅 🥇 Thursday Aug 1 Regular Pool Hours, shortened swim team hours: advanced group 10:00-11:00 beginner group 11:30-12:15 (same) ☀️ Friday August 2 Regular Pool Hours and Normal Practice Times Saturday August 3 Regular Pool Hours 9:00-7:

Pool Open All Day to Member 7-25-19
The Pool will be open to all members today thanks to an away swim meet at Woodridge Lake. Pool Hours 9-7p 🏊🏻♂️ 🏊🏻♀️ 🏊🏻♂️ Swim Team: Be on deck at Woodridge by 12:30 for warm up. 260 East Hyerdale Dr. Goshen CT Bring sun lotion, supposed to be full sun today! ☀️
Swim Meet Tomorrow (7-25)
Merry Christmas in July! 🎄 🎁 Your gift?! Another swim meet :) This is our last dual meet of the year so let’s make it count! Warm ups at 12:30 Start at 1:00. Away meet at Woodridge Lake. Bring team suit, towel, goggles, cap, team shirt, and of course spirit! Parents if you can time let me know, that would be great. WOODRIDGE LAKE 260 East Hyerdale, Goshen, CT 06756 Click the address above for a direct link to directions using Google Maps Easiest way: Go down Beach street almost until route 4 in Goshen. Take a left into the entrance of Woodridge lake. Follow until you get to a stop sign. Go left. Stay on East Hyerdale for about 1.5 miles. Pool parking and Tennis courts will be on your right. The pool will reopen at 11:00 for members until 12:30. The swim meet will go until 2:30. Open again for members after the meet.

☔️⛈☔️ The Pool is closed due to awful weather.⛈☔️⛈ It will not be reopening tonight (7/22/19). Please keep checking back for information about opening tomorrow. Swim Team: There is no practice tomorrow. Meet warm up at 12:30. Start at 1:00.
The Weeks Ahead (Save the Dates)
🏊🏻♂️🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♂️Swim Team “Save the Dates” 🏊🏻♂️🏊🏻♀️🏊🏻♂️ 🏊🏻♂️ Tuesday July 23 - Home meet against Sandy Beach on Tuesday, July 23. This meet was not originally scheduled so we apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you can make it but understand if you can’t. There will not be practice on Tuesday. Warm up at 12:30, start 1:00. We won’t be doing ribbons for the meet because we weren’t planning on it (there not enough). Pool closed to members 12:30-2:30. 🏊🏻♀️ Thursday July 25 - AWAY meet vs. Woodridge Lake (rematch!) Address and direction to come. Our pool (LCC) will be open to all members, 9:00a-7:00p. 🏊🏻♂️ Tuesday July 30 - 11:30 Team Photo. Wear your team suits. Rain date July 31. 🏊🏻♀️ August 8 morning - lake swim at Mohawk Pond (Ages 11+) No practice. More details to follow. August 8 evening - Sports Banquet. More details to follow.
Scorching Swim Team Success
The spectators were just as wet dripping with sweat as the swimmers in the pool today during the meet against Woodridge Lake. Our team blasted WL, coming 1st or 2nd in just about every race. The 8 and under team stunned the crowd as they swam their hearts out, while the pure number of 9/10s intimidated the opposing team. Our small but mighty older group powered through every race, many times only racing their fellow teammates. It was an awesome meet. Thanks to the timers, ribbon writers, lifeguards, kitchen staff for those melty-soft cookies and of course the parents for the support and spirit.

We are reserving the far side of the deck and chairs for the other team. Bring your team suit, towel, goggles and if you have one, team shirt. Parents, we may need you to help with small jobs. Don’t forget there is no practice today. See you at 12:15! GOOOO LCC!

FOR SWIM TEAM: No practice Tuesday, July 16. Pool open to members all day. SALISBURY / Lakeville (The Grove) 42 Ethan Allen Street, Lakeville CT, 06039 Expect at 25 minute ride. Leave time for driving error. Take a left into The Grove. This will bring you close enough to the lake. Go through the Gate and tell the attendant you’re there for the meet. Park in the back (dirt parking lot). Walk over the hill, past the playground, towards the lake and you will see the docks with the lane lines. Look for LCC!!!!! Warm Up 12:30 Meet Start 1:00 Parents- bring a folding chair / blanket. Swimmers - bring team suit, shirt, goggles, towel and most importantly...
